From the time I could remember, I’ve always wanted to be a teacher and artist who drove a pink pickup truck filled with all of my stuffed animals. Although my car didn’t end up being pink and I outgrew my stuffed animal collection, my childhood dreams came true when I earned a minor in art in college and became an elementary school teacher 22 years ago. To further explore my love for the arts, I had the amazing opportunity to live in Florence, Italy to study watercolors at the Lorenzo de Medici School. Throughout my teaching experience, I have been privileged to share my passion for the arts by incorporating creativity across the curriculum within my classroom. As an additional creative outlet, I have been working with children of all ages teaching private art classes over the last 15 years. Within these art classes, I expose my young artists to art history and technical art skills such as sketching, shading, blending, painting, drawing, & sculpting. I love working with children and watching them experience the magic of the arts. I look forward to making special memories where all individuals can feel successful and experience limitless boundaries for creativity.
